Friday Find #45

this post contains affiliate links

Hello!
I just have a quick post tonight, this week has been a busy one and I can't believe it's Friday again!

Do you know Terese aka Crochetspecs over on Instagram?
She makes the most wonderful, whimsical crochet things.
I have been a long time admirer of her gorgeous crochet budgies, they are are just so colourful and cute!
Terese has recently released a pattern for her crochet budgies, it is available in her etsy shop
I have bought a copy and can't wait to hook a few budgies up, I'm thinking I might make a flock of budgies and hang them around my shop. :)

Aren't they cute!  Terese is a very clever crocheter!  I'm so glad she wrote a pattern for her creation and popped it in her Etsy shop!

Have a great weekend!

Aren't the beautiful!

4. CraftywoolFelt This shop has a great range of colours in 100% wool felt, I'm keeping them in mind for when I start making my felt decorations! :)

-------------------------------------------------------------

Thats it for today, I hope you all have a great weekend!
I'm off to the Twilight Emu Plains Market tomorrow, although they are predicting a very hot day, 37C if they are correct, I am thinking of pulling out of the market if it's going to be that hot, I'll have to decide in the morning...... anyway, stay cool if you can in Melbourne,

Hello there!
How has your week been? Good I hope!
I thought I'd do an Etsy Finds post today as it's been ages since my last one and there are always so many awesome creative people to discover and support on Etsy.  Mother's Day is coming up, so it was a good excuse to have a browse and bookmark some very covetable items!

----------------------------------------------------------

1 At  PinkCheeksStudio, Nichol Brinkman is making so many gorgeous things!! Her custom family mobiles are so full of cute details and colour, I just love them!  I think I might have to get one made of our family and our animals too. :) And her range of other animal and storybook mobiles are just amazing too! Well worth a visit to admire her whimsical work!

-------------------------------------------------------------

So that's it for today, I hope you like my finds, there are always so many interesting things being made and put up for sale on Etsy, it is very inspiring!  I'm considering opening an Etsy shop of my own, I love doing my crochet but really need a reason to make things, and I guess stocking an online shop would be a good one!  Now that the market season is finished here for a while I might have time to look into it. ( But don't hold me to it! :)  )

I hope you all have a great weekend, it's a long weekend here with Monday off for Anzac Day.  We are heading out for family celebrations on Saturday for my Dad's 70th birthday, and my youngest is turning 16 on Tuesday, so we might have a little party on Monday for him.  It could end up a busy weekend!
I hope you do something fun or relaxing or adventurous or celebratory on your weekend too!

Talk soon! xxxxxxxx

5 Friday Finds #38

this post contains affiliate links

Hello everyone, I hope you have had a lovely week and are ready for a relaxing, fun weekend.
I'd like to thank you all for the lovely comments about my studio/shop, I am so happy that I can share my excitement about this project with a bunch of people who get it and are so supportive and positive  in their reactions, thanks you so much!  I few people hadn't realised that I was running a shop before, so it is great to have somewhere people can come and see and feel the wool rather than just online where it can be hard to convey the texture and softness of yarn.
So now I have online and in the flesh shopping! Yay!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Anyway, it is time for my Etsy Finds this week, I have decided to look at more Mother's Day gift ideas for the crafty inclined mums like myself!  There is plenty of choice on Etsy!
So here we go!
-------------------------------------------------------

1.  I loved this hand dyed speckled yarn from Tara at TheSheepyshire gorgeous flecks of colour in these!
------------------------------------------

2.There are lots more hand dyed yarns at Spacefrog, Julia makes beautiful colour ways like these sock yarns, perfect to tempt me into the wonderful world of sock knitting, something I want to get right into! Just got to get over my fear of double pointed needles. :)
--------------------------------------------------

3. If you are multicraftual (that's a word, right?) and like to dabble in the fabric crafts as well as yarny pursuits, have a look at mabelandgeorge.  Sarah Bulkeley is the amazingly gifted designer behind this  lovely range of fabrics perfect for any quilting project or bags or cushions or skirts, or anything really!!  The colour palette Sarah uses is right up my alley, I also love her embroidery kits!  She's a local lass too, so even better to support our talented home grown makers! :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. I couldn't go past these fabulous knitted apple cushions from studiomeez, they are made from soft lambswool and look so cosy!  I think a couple of these on my bed would be so lovely!
(boys are you reading this?? :) )
----------------------------------------------------------------

5. These beautiful flower prints by designer Elizabeth Grubaugh  are available at DeweyHoward, doesn't that wall look great! There are also beautiful cushions with these prints on them, so lovely, because you can never have too many cushions, right?? ;)

------------------------------------------------

So that's it for another week!

Have a good weekend.
We have a public holiday tomorrow for Anzac Day, it is quite an emotional day with everyone taking a moment to remember and give thanks all the soldiers who made sacrifices so we could live in this fabulous peaceful society.
With all the crappy things happening in other parts of the world, I feel extra grateful to those brave people who ensured we would live with freedom and without fear.
We are indeed a lucky country.

5 Friday finds #37

Hello!
I am all out of whack with my posting at the moment, I haven't done a Friday Etsy finds post for a while, and I was determined to do one over the weekend but didn't quite get it finished, so here it is , nearly midnight on Monday and it is finally going up!

Mother's day is coming up in a few weeks here, so I thought I'd have a look for some lovely things that I'd be happy to receive from my boys.  (although I won't be holding my breath, they are likely to forget about the whole day!)

-------------------------------------------------------

1. I love the gorgeous bird soft sculptures/toys in PopetseToys , aren't these lovely!  There are lots of other woodland creatures that I'd welcome into my toy collection any day! :)

------------------------------------------------------------

4. I have recently come across the whimsical jewellery at kissthefrogstudio and find it so intriguing!
Isn't this little piece called 'thinking' so lovely! It's amazing all the different things you can do with silver, gold and some enamel paint.  There are lots of quirky pieces in this shop that are just so covetable! :)  I think my mum would like one of these. :)
--------------------------------------------------

5. PoconoModern is a shop full of modernist inspired art works and other cute little things, this poster would be perfect for any pyrex enthusiast like me!  I'd love my collection to look that good in real life! I do have that aqua, snowflake, rectangle dish on the bottom shelf, so that is a start!  I'm on the look out for some pink pieces next. :)

--------------------------------------------------------

So that's a wrap for tonight, I am going to get my act into gear and get my mum something nice this year, usually I leave it to the last minute, but I am going to be organised this year, she deserves something lovely!

Have a great day/night every ever you are!
