1. Wound all these scrummy colours into cakes the other day, all ready to make into something special.  Not sure what that is yet, but I'm bound to think of something!

2. More yarny goodness, gotta love on line shopping!  This divine sock wool arrived the other day all the way from Canada.  Love these colours so much!  Very happy girl here!! :)

3 + 4. Starting something new,  more to come on this project soon!

5. Cool shadows in the morning light....

Life has been extra busy the last few weeks, and my blogging time has been suffering, so sorry for not being around here much, I'm hoping to get back into it this week, I have a few things to share with you all!

  1. That sock yarn is divine. I'm taking part in the Winwick Mum sockalong and some of the yarns being used are amazing. Stay warm down there during this very cold snap we are experiencing.

  4. Oh my, the sock yarn from Canada looks drool-worthy!

I recently discovered my love for yarn cakes. You seem to have a much larger yarn winder than I do though, mine makes smaller yarn cakes only. Which brand do you use?

    Take care

  6. We all know how busy life can be, don't worry. Look forward to what you have to share when you can! Eye candy post today! LOVE!!! Those color combination of the top photo are pretty much the colors I made a retro ripple Christmas tree skirt a few years back, still love it. That sock yarn IS yummy! Just finishing up a project for my porch involving a bicycle planter and crochet, even made a skirt guard. lol (You can find it tomorrow on flickr, user name- angela8626 As well as said tree skirt in ripple album if you care to have a look.) Have a great day!

  7. When I first read your post, I thought 'scummy colours? But they're lovely!' Then after reading it all I realise maybe it's a typo :-)

  9. Agree with Liz J. I was wondering why you would have any 'scummy' colours and then I realised you possibly meant 'scrummy'?
I love how your colours are taken from the palette on your canisters. Such fresh brightness and happiness in them.

  11. !!! It's been awhile since I've been around reading in blog land so I've just seen your shop! Whoohoo! It looks so so fantastic! Too bad I'm clear on the other side of the world or I would love to stop by (even though really I am incredibly shy about things like that). That hand dyed wool looks like it was made just for you--it ought to be named after you really.
