But I love the "ice cream" colours pistachio, raspberry, vanilla, which can be more pastel than bright but they are strong! LOL. I love the colours in the giveaway because although they are light colours (except maybe the Orange) they are strong ones!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I'm more of a soft person, but sometimes only bright colors will do.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Brights, jewel tones. I'm not really a fan of pastels but some dusty shades are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I love all colors - I'm finding that I lean towards a base of neutrals with lots of colorful accents!

    ReplyDelete
  119. I love both, depends on the mood!! BTW, much excitement when Simply Crochet popped through the door yesterday and I spied your pattern. I am so excited to make this although unfortunately it will have to be my winter project - the mid west summers are too hot to be working under a blanket watching the kids in the park, so i have started a more portable granny squares one. However, I can spend the summer getting excited about the colour combinations and have something to look forward to when it gets cold!

    ReplyDelete
  120. What a great give away. It would have to be brights for me....colours that catch a smile and gift it back to others x

    ReplyDelete
  121. I love bright colors! Happiness = bright colors - what a great giveaway :)

    ReplyDelete
  122. I like the softer colors - they are gentle, not so forceful.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I am definitely a soft color kind of person. I like to knit and crochet relaxedly and somehow I always seem to tense up a bit if my color are too bright or hard edged.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Hm, I spent the last ten minutes thinking what kind of person I am. I certainly LOVE bright colours but for some projects I prefer soft ones. Since I am very very light skinned though I can only wear bright colours (not too bright but certainly none pastell colours). Hm, such a hard decision... So I reckon I am a half-half-person. :-)

Thanks for the give away! I yarn looks great and I always love to try out yarns I can't buy here in Germany!

    Take care

In the Winter I do like a bright color to lift my spirits on a cloudy winter day, and in the summer, it's soft and cool colors for me to temper the hot summers we in Texas experience. In Autumn, I love the oranges and browns and golds and wheat colors...and of course in Spring, it's the soft pastels for me. :)

  150. It depends on my mood, I love bold colours and am naturally drawn to those but sometimes pastels are just whispering to be used. I'm going through a natural phase using lots of the same shades in creams and whites. Such a lovely giveaway and I thoroughly love your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I love all colours, going through a bright phase at the moment, but love to mix bright with some softer tones too, experimenting is what it's all about xx

    ReplyDelete

  176. Hello lovely Julie, I am a soft colour person and I love the look of your yarn and can think of a dozen projects if I am lucky enough to win. Julie - sorry I have not popped over to see you so much lately, hopefully work will be a little quieter for a while and I can come and visit you every post. Have a wonderful weekend Julie, big hugs, Dorothyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  179. I see so many bright coloured crochet blankets and pillows, and love all the different patterns used. However, I really think I'm a soft colour person. The brights sometimes tire me out.
