I seem to have lost the plot with the Knitting and Crochet Blog Week posting, sorry about that chief! I did try, but I have been kind of preoccupied with things and just haven't got to posting the 'proper' topics! My normal old life posts will have to do I'm afraid.....I really wanted to show you something I've been finishing off.....
soooo...... here is the newest addition to my softie clan.
She is a kind of cat/bear creature, I think.
I was trying a different type of construction with a skinnier body and bigger head, I think I need to practise my increases and decreases a bit more to make her head shape a little rounder, but I guess she is still quite cute with the longer head.
Also decided to do a stripey body instead of a granny square like the other ones I've made, I think she looks a bit plain and under dressed compared to my other super colourful guys.
What do you reckon? My boys don't like her much.
I think she needs a mini version of this granny flower necklace to dress her up a bit, I think I'll make one tomorrow!
Maybe a new friend for her with a flower granny square tummy? Hmmmm....... ideas!
Hope you all have a great weekend, see you soon!!
I love her! Stripes are always a winner in my book :-D
ReplyDeleteOh Jules, of course your boys don't like her, they are boys!!!! I think her little head looks like a love heart, I adore stripes and I love her little pink hands and feet. And her eyes, so big and beautiful. I feel that she just wants to flutter her eyelashes (if she had them that is!) and give someone a big kiss. Wonderful, well done.
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous - I know two little people who would love her! What about a little crocheted flower brooch or a stripey scarf to go with her stripey body?
ReplyDeleteI think she is wonderful! Great color combination.
ReplyDeleteI think she's adorable. (But I always love the idea of flowers and grannies, so the necklace is a terrif addition, too!)
ReplyDeleteHey, i have been following your page for a while but not seen your softies before, they are awesome! I like the stripey one, its nice to try different patterns and styles.
ReplyDeleteso nice! congrats!
ReplyDeleteHey Jules, your new softie is great. Just love pink and orange together.
ReplyDeleteI think she looks fab as is, yes, plainer compared to the ones with granny square tummies, but add the flower necklace and wow.
I like the idea of a stripey scarf too.
Thanks for popping by my blog and commenting.
It's 5.45 am and I'm having brekky before heading off to work.....
Enjoy your weekend.
