Well it's the first day of Blogtoberfest and here I am with my first post - 1 down 30 to go!
Not too much to talk about really.
I picked these freesias from my garden today, I think they are so Spring- like and just smell heavenly! The boys were destroying them with soccer ball retrieval stomping through the garden so they are better off in my jar.
I recently got this beautiful book, it has some really nice inspiring retro type patterns in it.
I'm having a go at this tablecloth at the moment, I think looks lovely and kind of gypsy - retro.
Nice for a Christmas pressie?
This is cute, I love the tea cosy, even though I'm not really a tea drinker.
And I really like this bobbley bag, I'm thinking one in red or aquamarine would be just spiffy, I may just have to make both!
There's lots of other nice things in this book, me thinks it will get a good working over in the coming months. I have also ordered a couple of super cute Japanese crochet books from here, can't wait to get them, I'll do a show and tell!
Have a great day, and I'll be back tomorrow with something (not sure what though!)

Looks like a great book. I love Japanese crochet books so I'm looking forward to seeing which you get and what you think.

ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous book!
ReplyDeleteThat book looks fabulous--I'll have to keep an eye for it.
ReplyDeleteThat looks a great book, I agree the bag looks fantastic. I saw my first japanese crochet book at a knit and natter group yesterday and came straight home and ordered one, I just hope I am up to following the diagrams, I may be begging for some advice next week when I realise it's way over my head. x
ReplyDeleteOOh lovely crochet inspiration. Will definitely add the book to my wish list. Good luck with the blogging challenge! Cx
ReplyDeleteI have this book too, must get around to actually making something, not just drooling!
