Hello!
How has your day been?
It has been wet and stormy here, pretty horrible really.
I have had my shopkeepers hat on today, uploading photos and products into my shop, so
I thought I'd show you some of the amazing coloured wool that has arrived in the shop this week.
I am really excited to have neon colours in merino wool now available.
These new neon colours from Zara are so out there, in a good way!!.
As part of my focus on having great coloured yarns in my shop, I have been looking for quite a while for some neon colours, but had only been able to find the odd one in scratchy acrylic.
I am so pleased that Filatura di Crosa have bought out these neons in their gorgeous superfine merino Zara 8ply, I was really missing some power shots of colour that these neons bring! I'm thinking that a grey blanket with some shots of neon through it would look very cool.
I think with Summer coming up something bright and colourful and a little bit neon could be coming off my hook, just got to find the right pattern! :)
I'll be back tomorrow with a little giveaway for you all too :)
Have a lovely day!
I could definitely see a ripple blanket in those with grey worked between each color wave. Sunny and hot here today, too hot. Have a great day! x
ReplyDeletePersonally I would rather use 'scratchy' acrylic than endorse cruelty as in the production of merino. I think the poor sheep might prefer it too. Cuddly doesn't work when it involves mulesing because it causes pain and suffering to sheep and that is much more important than me getting a fix of pretty wool.

Really? Really Madeline? With such a strong opinion regarding wool production maybe you should just skip over blogs that are about yarn, knitting and crocheting. Keep your opinion to yourself. Certainly no one on this blog wants to hear about your love of scratchy acrylic yarn!
DeleteMadeline perhaps you could start your own blog entitled " One Ball of Scratchy Acrylic at a Time" and post your negativity on that-
DeleteSo you would rather pollute the environment making acrylic products rather than shear a sheep to enable it to live a better life and provide a product for use. Yes sharing sheep actually does help them, have you ever seen a sheep that has never been shorn it is terrible and the quality of life if not great.
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the neon colors. Merino is heaven to work with. Have also been toying with idea to use a gray with my leftover acrylics from my Neon Granny Blanket. You can see it here:

Can't wait to see what you decide to go with. You are so creative!
A little neon goes along way so I like your idea of mixing it with some gray. You might want to look at Purl Soho website or the Purl Bee as they had quite a bit of the neon showing and many of their patterns are free. I love their website for inspiration and so much more!
ReplyDeleteNeon would lovely with grey looking forward to seeing what you decide on.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Inspiring
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these :) xxx
