Hello there!

I have another Friday Finds post for you today, it's been a while since I've done one of these, but I found myself browsing through Etsy and found a few lovely new to me shops and also some great new work form some old favourites!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. I love the wood blocks that Nora Leschinski carves and paints, and she has a lot of new blocks in her shop leschiwelt.  I think they look great in a little group or just as a beautiful individual piece. I think I might have to add this gorgeous green and white flower one to my collection!

------------------------------------------------------

2. Aren't these hand painted speckle skeins just amazing! They are from the shop supercraftygirl, by Andrea Karcher, with great names like 'Special Snowflake' and 'Participation Trophy' .

----------------------------------

3. These fabulous knitted vegetables are the handiwork of Anastasija and are for sale in her shop MapleApple.  There are lots of different veggies here, eggplants, leeks, beetroots, potatoes, radishes, sweetcorn and many more!  They are perfect for little peeps pretend play or big girls just to admire and display!! :)
--------------------------------------------------

4. I also had a peek at erinswindow, one of my favourite ceramicist, she has a shop full of sweet bird charm necklaces, plus a few of her whimsical bell people, just so lovely!

-------------------------------------------------

5.I really like the street and cityscapes that I found in the shop lauraamiss, Laura Amiss is the talented artist whose work can be found here, there are lots of different cities from around the world represented in her shop, plus some lovely whimsical pieces.  Here prints are available in lots of sizes, so there's something for everyone here!

The Australian Sheep and Wool Show 2016 - Part 2

Hello there!
Well the Sheep Show has been over for a few weeks now, but I thought I'd still do a little post about how it went.  I went really well, I'd even say it went awesomely!  Mum and I had such a great weekend, there were heaps of people, all like minded in their love of fibre crafts, so it was easy to chat, and people were very friendly.  There were so many beautiful yarns available, and fabulous clothes and other craft supplies and tools, and sheep too!
Thank you to so many lovely people for introducing yourselves and all your kind words about this blog or my Instagram account, there is a really great community of crafters out there all connecting through the wonders of social media and the internet.  It was fantastic to meet you all!

I had less time than I imagined to take photos, but here are a few snaps from the weekend.

.....this is the marquee we were in, lots of people managed to find us even though we were a bit tucked away......

....here's my mum looking fab in her red coat even though she was nursing a cold and felt fairly poorly!......

......super chunky wool and some amazing huge knitting, I bought a ball of this stuff to have a play with myself. :)

......I was very tempted at the Ashford stand, those looms looked so inviting and I have weaving on my things to learn list!  Unfortunately, my car was so chockers there was no room for any major purchases.  Maybe next year! ......

....in one of the main sheds, the fashion parade was very popular. :)

....So that was the sheep show for this year, lots of fun and an exciting, inspirational weekend!
I am going to apply for next years show nice and early and try and get a stall in one the main sheds, so hopefully I'll see some of you there in 12 months time!

The Australian Sheep and Wool Show 2016 - Part 1

My Mum and our stall while we were setting up!

Hello there!
How are you going, good I hope!
Today has been an interesting day, my mum and I have packed up a whole lot of my yarny wares and headed to Bendigo for the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, which starts tomorrow and goes for the weekend ( Friday15th July- Sunday 17th) .  This is the first time I've had a stall at a big wool event, I tried to cram as much yarn as I could into my car, but there were still things I had to leave behind due to lack of space.  I hope I have brought yarns people will like to see!  We spent the afternoon setting things up so we are all ready to go in the morning.  I have already spotted some gorgeous yarns that might have to come home with me, and that's just on my neighbours stall!

So this is where I'll be for the next 3 days, it's going to be a fun few days for a yarn lover like me!
If you're coming to Bendigo for the Show come and say hello, we are in the Education and Technology marquee, behind the Festival of Lamb!

If you can't make it to the show, here's a few pics of our stall, so you can still feel part of it!

.......little packs of Nikkim cotton, and Star Making Kits......

.....lots of MoYa organic cotton in all the pretty colours.......

.........and here's some Misti Alpaca Hand Painted Chunky goodness! :)

I'll try and post tomorrow about some of the things I see at the show! :)
