How are you all today, my crafty friends!
I am in count down to my market on Saturday, so I have been madly finishing off some crochet makes. This is how the pile of granny squares that I showed you last week turned out, colourful, fluttering, bunting!
A few of you have asked what bunting is, it is just little flaggy type things hanging off a string, I wonder if there are different names for it it other countries.
These are my granny buntings, I think they are looking lovely and Spring-like in my flowering cherry amongst the blossom.
How lucky am I that the trees are blossoming at the perfect time for this little photo sessions!:)
I am not even that worried if I don't sell any of this, I think I could just let it hang in the trees and make my garden a happy place. It will be nice to hang it for birthdays and Christmas too, (who am I kidding, once I put these pretties up they won't be coming down for a while! :))
I am planning a very colourful, cheerful stall, I think these will fit the brief quite well.
I am very happy with how these turned out, simple, yet colourful and joyous, I plan to give them a little blocking to square them up a bit and then I have have to think how to package them, I don't think I will have space to hang them all over my stall, maybe 1 or 2, but I am thinking some cute way of packaging the others would be good. I do have an idea in my head, I just hope I don't run out of time!

ReplyDeleteThere's little I like more than granny squares and bunting! These are beautiful and you've shown your fantastic eye for color yet again. I would also hang them all over my house and likely never take them down! Who am I kidding? I already have four or five similar garlands strung across my living room! Happy hooking :)

Such a beautiful site! (It's more known as pennant flags here, Southern US, but crafty folks call it bunting here too.) Best of luck with your stall! Look forward to pictures. A very windy wet day here so, some crafty endeavors for the day for sure. (Probably making some pillows to go inside the crochet pillow covers (gifts) I've being doing lately.)

ReplyDeleteBunting is so happy, isn't it? People in my part of the world put it up sometimes, but don't usually call it bunting--flags maybe? I love how it is spring there, just as it's going all fall over here. Good luck!
