Autumn arrives...

Hello!
Well, it is the start of another season already!  I love Autumn, the weather is mild and generally calm, and I am looking forward to some lovely crisp mornings and clear blue skies.  A bit scary though, March has come around a little too quickly for my liking, I have a lot of plans for this year and already I feel that I am getting behind.  My biggest hurdle is to stop procrastinating!!  Very much a work in progress.

This week has flown by in a bit of a blur, I had a lovely morning meet up with some other ladies who are doing the "Blog with Pip' e-course, it was so nice to meet in the flesh!!  Often blogging is such a remote activity, I have never met anyone in real life from the internet before, so it was lovely to get together and have a bit of a chat and share the bloggy love.  They were great girls too!
( Hello Annette, Julie, Michelle, and Sarah!!)

I have decide to make another diamond blanket, this time in more Autumnal colours, so I have had a nice time playing with wool and trying to decide on a bit of a scheme.  What do you think of these colours?  They are a bit more muted and have more orange/browns than I usually use, but I think it will look quite good when it is finished. I am thinking a bit country, a bit Nanny McPhee, something a little more grown up than my usually palette?  Although I might add another plummy shade as it looks a little dull in real life. There are a few other Merino Magic 8ply shades that I think could work in nicely too. Hmmm, where to stop is the hard part!

I have also been experimenting with a new little pattern, well it's not really a pattern as such, more like a new way for me to achieve a certain look, it is working out quite well, and I am getting enthused!  More on that another time though.

We are off to a trivia night tonight, they are alway a fun time!
I'll have to keep myself nice so my answers don't become ridiculous later in the night!
I am also psyching myself up to making a few changes on this blog, tomorrow is the day!!
I think a nice new banner and a few other bit of housekeeping will freshen up this little blog, ready for lots of crochet crafty action!

Ok that's probably enough from me now.

What have you got going on this weekend?
Having fun? Chilling out? Making something fabulous?

  11. Such an exciting time with the change of seasons. I love the colours you chose and so very autumnal. My fave in autumn was mustard so needless to say my eye was drawn to it. I am honestly not quite ready to give up on it either as Spring knocks on my door xoxo

  12. Lovely array of autumn colors, can't wait to see it, and the new pattern. I did one in autumn colors awhile ago in small granny squares and just love it, I use it on the porch swing, for those crisp evenings. Weekend plans, involve a movie and the youngest plans for a prom dress. Happy weekend!

  16. We have been out for a woodland walk in the sunshine today. It was so nice to be out in the fresh air and listen to the birds. I have my first ever crocheted blanket on the go, using some acrylic yarn that I have dyed myself just recently. Its a bit of a learning curve on both sides but I am enjoying it immensely.
You choice of colours is excellent. They are not dull at all and will suit the season completely. I look forward to seeing how they turn out!
