Tapestry crochet - the spotty one

Hello.

How has your day been?  We have had a good one here with the wind finally stopping and the sun coming out. The boys are back to school next week, so we got out of the house for a few hours today and enjoyed the fine weather.

Today I have got the pattern for the spotty tapestry crochet I did on my washcloths, I hope it is clear enough.

Don't worry about my number scribbles at the bottom, I was figuring out how many chains to make for my washcloth.

As you can imagine, you can keep repeating this pattern till you have as many spots as you like.
This pattern is made using the same technique as in the harlequin pattern.
( over here if you need a refresher)

The only thing I would note is that for the 2 rows in-between the spot rows, where there are no colour changes, I still crocheted over the unused colour to make sure the piece is the same thickness through out.

Sorry for the dodgy photos, it was getting late in the afternoon and the light wasn't great, and I think I might need glasses because I thought they were nice and clear when I took them!

Have a lovely weekend!

  5. I really appreciate you taking the time to show us how you've made these beautiful creations! I am thinking about doing some in black and white and I am fearful that the black will show through too much and it will look awful. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can make that work? Thanks for any advice and for the beautiful work you do! Angela

  7. I have never tried the tapestry crochet. I am not sure if I am patient enough... But looking at this I am intrigued to try... Time will tell. I have way to many unfinished WiPs and other things waiting for my attention at the moment.
Have lovely day and thanks for sharing this.
