Yarn Along.....

 Hello!

I'm joining in with Ginny and the other lovely crafters over at Small Things today.

So here is what I am hoping to work on tonight, I need to get a few more rows completed so I can do another update for the crochet along.  It seems silly to to an update with only 2 new rows, but I think I may have made this blanket a little bit too wide, each row is taking such along time!
Not to mention a heap of wool!!  Oh well, it will be an epic when I finish it, somewhere far off in the future! haha...

I have started reading a quick thriller called Fatherland byRobert Harris.  It is basically a crime thriller set in 1960's Germany in a world where Hitler did not lose WW2.  I am about 1/3 the way through, and so far it is an easy read.

What are you making today?

  1. I know what you mean about making something that little bit too wide, it really seems to make things take longer, doesn't it?!

Loving the colours and different stitches in the blanket, it's going to be awesome :)

  4. I love the design. Is there a pattern for this? I like the way it changes color and pattern. Are you in the UK? I will be there in 2 weeks. Never been anywhere before, but this is a business trip for a meeting. We will be staying in Pennyhill Park. It looks lovely. Won't see much between Heathrow and there, but excited nonetheless. Also, get to fly Business Class. Yippie!

  7. Crocheting and reading...my favorite hobbies too. I am currently working on an afghan using tunisian crochet. I am reading the new Stephen King novel "11/22/63".

  8. I always think it is a shame that it is not possible to crochet or knit and read at the same time... at least it isn't for me! I like a bit of bbc radio 4 while i crochet because it is the next best thing - like being read to...

  18. The stripey blanket is really coming along. So pretty. I'm starting over with new colors. Don't like the palatte I orginally chose. Thank you for writing the instructions. I also ordered the book you recommended. Thank you for locating such a nice book for us.
