A bit of colour for Sunday.....

Hello.

How are you?

It's been a while since posts, I really haven't had much to share, life has been quite routine and that's not the best fodder for blogging. Also got a bit of a weird comment on my last post that put me off a bit I think, and made me really ponder what I will blog about.....anyhoo, this is a nice general crochet post, so should be pretty safe!

I have nearly finished the stripey blanket, like lots of things it is taking a bit longer than I thought to finish off.  Every time I think I have made it big enough I put it on my bed to see how it looks and think maybe a couple more rows and it will just right!
I want to finish this one so I can get on with something new, so hopefully will be doing a ta dah in the next week or two.

Thought you might like a bit of a colour fix on this fine Sunday......
be warned, I have gone overboard with the photos, but I hope you enjoy!

This is the new bit I am doing at the moment.....I think it would make a nice edge pattern, what do you think?

Have a great day!

  9. Truly stunning, it's so inspiring I'm still plodding along with my version not as neat but really enjoying the freedom of colour and stitches even made up a new one for me...!
Don't be put off by people's comments there will always be 'moaners' and health and safety bores it will be soon not able to crochet due to a hook and wool that could get tangled up.......

  14. Just re read your last post. We have spent years digging hole and burying each other in sand. It is all part of the fun and laughter of a sandy beach. Maybe some people just forget that life is fun and we as parents have common sence.

So a reply to her/him is relax and if you can't say something nice, then don't leave a comment as our blogs are our online diarys, we invite you to join in a bit of our lives, but respect us please.

    Your blanket is wonderful xx

  23. Fab blanket - I've been looking for some inspiration for an autumn blanket project and I think you may just have supplied it! Are you following a pattern or are you just taking your yarn for a walk?

  24. The more pictures you show, the more I am in love with your blanket. It´s so very beautiful, especially the rows with the bobbles, makes it very special and of course, I simply MUST have such a blanket, too. Hope you will give many many pictures and advices and hints when it is finished, I so much would love to have exactly the same blanket one day.
I could imagine that a weird comment hurts in some ways, but continue to write about all the things YOU love, it´s your blog and you have a lot of enthusiastic followers and we love that you share a bit of your life. Every single post.
    With my best wishes,
    Suzi/Krawuggl

  28. Anonymous seems to get around, if it's the same one, always leaves a not so nice comment, just brush it off and keep blogging what you do, there are so many of us that love what you blog. Your blanket is amazing, if I can ever be so good at crochet to start something like that. I live in Melbourne by the way.

  29. Wow!
Such amazing colours. Will be bookmarking this as inspiration for the eventual day when I start a blanket!
I would delete any crappy comments- who needs them to spoil your day!!

  30. Of course I had to check out the weird comment, lol. I can only think that perhaps there was a bad experience in that person's life that prompted them to comment. It is certainly dangerous to tunnel in sand but I can't see the harm in burying someone who thinks it's fun.
Love your blog, keep up the good work.

  33. i think the mix of the different stitches just so inspiring! especially the BOBBLES (am looking for the "how-to"...) and the colors are just yummy. for someone who claims to have just recently got "hooked" it seems you have a natural talent!

  34. Hi, just stumbled across your blog and wanted to tell you that I have been dribbling over your blanket all morning. In between looking at other things I keep coming back to it! I flipping well love it and it has inspired me, enough to go through my stash and dig out some colours to start making one. (Along with the 240000 other things I am making!)

  36. Jules, I just have to say this blanket is stunning - I'm pinning it to my pinterest to share it with others, but also so I can keep coming back to peek at it and be inspired to maybe have a go at having at go myself at something like this in the future. Can't wait to see the finished loveliness it will be. xx
