Dangley flower garland.....done....

Sooo... I am so happy that our computer is back at full speed and my little blog break can be over, I have had a few things I wanted to show you all and it was very frustrating!

Anyhoo, here is my finished flowery dangley vine garland......what do you think?
Hard to photograph, but I am quite happy with it in the end!

....lots of pretty colours....

...I think I might make some more of these, it was fun to make, and I'd like to try one with different types of flowers and maybe a few insects stuck in there too!

Anyway, I have been busy making a few other things too that I will post about over the next few days, so stay tuned!

Also noticed a bit of a milestone approaching, could be nearly time for something special to celebrate..... but more of that later!

And hoping to have some exciting news on the crafty front to share soon, I'm starting to get very enthused about the whole crafty career idea, so I'll keep you posted!

I'm off to catch up on a spot of blog reading that I have been missing out on for a week or so, looking forward to seeing what you guys have been up to!

PS. What is with all the natural disasters around this region recently? First floods and cyclones here, and now terrible earthquakes in NZ, my thoughts go out to everyone doing it tough at the moment and looking at long difficult clean ups, stay strong, the rest of the world is with you too.

Bye for now!

I hear you on the speed issue - ours was used up by playstation over the holidays and it drove me nuts.
Looking forward to seeing what else you have been up to.

  5. Hey Jules, welcome back, we all missed you.....

Love your garland, I thought to myself wouldn't it be fun to see a big stripey caterpillar amongst it and the next thing I read about the insects, hehe.

    A crafty career, hmmmm, I 'm intrigued.

Hope your'e all well, it's a beautiful day here hope you have the same too,

  7. Ohhh yes please - I'd like to enter. And, if on the off chance that I win, I would choose one of your lovely flowery vines. When I discovered your blog I thought that you were probably somewhere either in England, Europe or Australia. Imagine my surprise to find not only were you in Australia, but you live not far from me (Warragul in my case).

  13. I have been searching for something exactly like this for weeks now. We are redoing our kitchen and I'm aiming at a sunflower theme. I've been busy making sunflower potholders and dishcloths and such. And i want these to drape over the valances, and to weave in and out of the decorations on the new cupboards.
My question is, Where can i find the pattern? Can i buy it from you or is it something you just made yourself? Because i am DEFINITELY not that creative. lol. I LOVE this beautiful garland. It would be a great addition to my new kitchen!

    1. Hi Hope, I see from your google connect page that you have found the About Mo and Me page, this is actually where I got the pattern for the leaves and vines from anyway, I just adapted it to suit my dangley flowers and went from there. Good luck with making your own! :) J xx

  14. Hello, I was wondering if you could give me the pattern for the nice flowers you made? I found the "About Mo and me" page, but it's an older blog and only has the pattern for the vine. I would really appreciate it because I think I will give this to my mother as a gift, and I really love the shapes of the flowers, and I am also bad at improvising to make my own shapes, being a beginner at crochet! Thanks so much!
